The AFL Vic Metro Masters League has finalised all fixtures for season 2026.
The good news is that the Womens Non-Contact division has moved from one team in 2025 to five in 2026, so the Eastern Warriors will play in a dramatically expanded competition this year, with two home games hosted at Edinburgh Reserve. Fantastic news for Sue and the crew and a big thumbs up for a format that has been largely driven by the Warriors!
The other good news is the Mens Over 35s play in Division 3, which features B and C teams from some other clubs that were previously fielding teams in the now disbanded reserves competition.
“This is a big win for us and will absolutely make this a more even and fairer season for the club,” said our 2025 co-captain Junior. “This doesn’t guarantee wins by any stretch though! It’s important that we all make the effort to get to training to build into round 1. This is also a great chance to spread the word about our fixture to your mates and get them interested about coming down for a kick.”
The Over 50s have a hard draw again facing the toughest teams from the previous season and a new entrant with Dingley fielding a 50s team.
“The 2026 fixture is a mixed bag for the Warriors – wins for the Womens Non-Contact and for the Over 35s, but we’re a bit disappointed that the Over 50s have it even tougher,” said Prez Gez. “It’s great to see two home games for the Over 55s after missing out last year, and overall we have a lot to look forward to at Warriorland this season.”
Both the Over 50s and 55s have a bye, while the women have two. The full fixtures are below with links to PlayHQ (click on the image).
