We are planning a weekend away camping in Walhalla which will be a pre season training camp and bonding trip in one with all Warriors players welcome… See details below.

WHEN: Friday afternoon to Sunday lunchtime, 20th to 22nd February.

WHERE: Walhalla is an old gold mining town approx. 45km North of Moe in Gippsland. An easy 2 hr drive from our Edinburgh Reserve. Our campsite is called Walhalla North Gardens, it has flush toilets, mobile reception, a nice creek, covered elec BBQ, fire pits, tables, water and lots of space for a big group. Camping is free!

If you need to buy camping gear, Bunnings, Big W and Kmart have sleeping bags $25, chairs $8, air mattress $8.. easy done!

WHAT you will need… A sleeping bag, a single air mattress, fold up chair and a pillow. We can sort out tents between us all and I have all other camping gear. I will provide a camping list as we will make a seperate what’s app group for those coming. It’s BYO Esky, Food, alcohol and snacks, I’ll havea little gas stove and elec bbq is on site. Car pooling encouraged.

ACTIVITIES: Hike to a steep remote cricket oval on a mountain top for a unique game of AFL9S, Sit around the fire in the evenings and have a cold one with your team mates, have a cooling swim in the Thompson River, informative walk through the historical old gold town with many original buildings, mines, old railway etc. bacon n egg brekky, bbq lunches, nearby pub and cafe if required.

This will be a great adventure for all that attend and you’ll get the chance to have an unforgettable weekend in a beautiful location, hopefully the weather will be perfect as it has been lately. If you can only do one night that’s fine.
