As everyone knows, the club has been working on secret plans to lure new 35s players and we are VERY EXCITED to announce that Dustin Martin, who turns 35 in 2026, will be donning the Warriors top this season.
“It has always been my dream post-AFL to join the Eastern Warriors,” said Martin. “The coaches, the facilities, the playing group really appealed to me, there’s a lot of tats, not a lot of teeth and I don’t have to learn a new theme song. I feel at home already.”
President Gerard De Filippis has been thrashing out the deal, which we can reveal is 5 years at one slab per game.
“It’s the richest deal in Warriors history, but you don’t get to recruit players like this often,” said Gez. “But, like anybody else, Dusty will have to train and earn his spot first. Nobody just walks into our 35s team – Pogz and Pete set high standards, and will be putting Dusty through his paces first.”
With pressure on for spots ahead of Round 1, players need to hit the track tonight before selection next week. See you there.

Dunno… I still question how well he performs in big games. I mean, he played over 300 games but only won 3 Norm Smith medals. Can we rely on him in a crunch?
