Tonight, Wednesday 13th May, the club will have a special celebration to launch its first indigenous jumper ahead of Indigenous Round this weekend. We’ve had a fantastic response already with over 50 RSVPs so it is a big night for the club.

NOTE: Training starts at 6pm, not 6.30 and will be followed by a ceremony and Welcome to Country with native food prepared by Blake. We also have special guests from the Hawthorn Football Club, CEO Ash Klein and former player and Academy Manager Harrison Pepper for a Q & A.

Then the jumpers will be presented, the pizzas will come out and we’ll have a raffle with some fantastic prizes on offer including meat trays, hampers and a Hawthorn indigenous jumper up for grabs. Plus selected teams for the weekend will be announced. 

Well done to all involved for bringing this together, there’s been a lot of work behind the scenes and it is a proud occasion for the Eastern Warriors.
