On Valentine’s Day 2026, Matt Devenish and Alex “Seal” Vasitch achieved significant milestones at the Karkarook Parkrun.

For Matty D, he notched up a whopping 250 parkruns (1250km), and for Seal he chalked up 100 parkruns (500km) – a feat that after a life-threatening health battle he didn’t think would ever be possible.

A number of club members ran or walked in support including Bomber, , Marko, Flea and Grunta and of course Kirsty.

For members interested in Parkrun, there are plenty of regulars in the club and you can usually find someone you know at Karkarook, Gardiners or Jells Park on a Saturday morning.
